Building a non toxic kitchen thanks to Caraway

So, I am really excited to share this, mostly because I did not think I ever would. Let me tell you why.

I have seen posts on social media about Caraway and I think I remember clicking on it once, looking at the price, and clicking X right away. So, if this was also you, keep reading.

My mom sent me an ad with Caraway one night, I believe it was around Black Friday. She said we should buy them. My mom LOVES pots and pans, she spends most of her time in the kitchen. She also loves to buy “cheap” or less expensive things because she thinks it’s saving money. Last Christmas we bought her pots and pans and the fact that she is already trying to replace them, tells you a lot about how great they are. I have been trying to teach her the whole “quality over quantity” thing and how spending $30 on something you’ll have for a long time is better then having to spend $10 over and over again on something because it keeps going bad, and then you end up spending over $50 for example, if not more.

Anyways, so I was shocked as you can imagine when she said we should buy them. At that time, I was lucky enough to be gifted a pot and pan of my choice by Caraway — talk about perfect timing. I chose the sage color — its gorgeous! Another perk: lots of beautiful colors to choose from.

When we got them, we both said WOW. The quality, the look, the color, the everything. We cooked in them right away to see if they worked as good as they looked. THEY DID. You know what we did next? We bought the whole set. Not only did we buy the whole set, we ended up getting the mini pot and pan too (we use the smaller ones for everyday meals for the kiddos like oatmeal and scrambled eggs), the steamer duo, and now we have the bakeware. (Storage containers — I am coming for you next) OH and I almost forgot to mention, the sets come with ORGANIZERS. (If you know me, you knooooow how happy this makes me)

We donated our old pots and pans and even said if we need more, we’ll just buy another set of Caraway ones. But also too, me being me, and being married to a husband who looks at deals all the time, I looked at competitor prices, and honestly, they were the same price, if not more.

Now, let’s get into specifics on WHY I love Caraway so much, I know details are important. (Trust me, I wouldn’t be sitting here writing a blog post if I was not absolutely obsessed with them)

100% Non toxic cookware and bakeware. We all want to make better and healthier choices, right? It’s not always easy, I get it. If you have kids, making those choice is harder, but also more important. Why not start with what you are using EVERY DAY to cook/bake meals for you and your family? Start with cooking cleaner.

All of their non stick is made with ingredients that are FDA approved and made without dangerous chemicals such as PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, Lead, and Cadmium. Other brands are full of harmful chemicals. Do those sound like you want those in your cook/bakeware? Nope. But I was not aware what was in my previous ones, so I get it. We all learn everyday.

But also, non stick. SO important to me. I know a lot of brands that claim non-stick, but aren’t actually. Why say it if it’s not true? Another reason I trust Caraway, they mean it. They have a naturally click ceramic coating which makes clean up SOOOO easy — another perk, especially with kiddos, the easier clean up can be, the happier mama is. The aluminized steel body is for even cooking throughout the entire sheet and the size of the largest baking sheet is amazing. (They are also oven safe up to 550F)

I had pots and pans that I would constantly scrub and scrape trying to get everything off in the wash, now I understand what non stick cookware is actually like. Did you know that Polytetrafluoroethylene (like Telfon) is in 95% of non stick pans? I can’t even pronounce it.
